Found Object Puppetry

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The world of found object puppetry allows physical theatre devisors to layer an array of given circumstances and metaphors into character representations. This workshop will introduce the basics of object manipulation to novices. We will explore techniques that imbue inanimate objects with focus, breath, and heart. Working in small ensembles, these animated objects will take on unique characters as they explore their surroundings. Small scenarios will evolve out of this creative process. Participants are encouraged to bring objects of personal significance in order to develop unique theatrical metaphors through object manipulation. Come dressed to move and ready to improvise!
