Social Enterprise: An alternative to non-profit for small theatres?

The non-profit corporation has been the traditional structure for new, small theater companies for 50 years or more. With the rise in social enterprise businesses, could a for-profit social enterprise model be a better fit? In this session, I'll describe what a social enterprise is, some problems in the non-profit model, and why social enterprise could work for small theaters. Discussion with attendees to follow.
