Tamara Kissane is a Durham-based playwright, theatre-maker, parent, and podcaster for Artist Soapbox (www.artistsoapbox.org). She was recently named the 2020 Piedmont Laureate. Recent projects: MASTER BUILDER audio drama which premiered at Women’s Theatre Festival NC before public release in July 2019; THE NEW COLOSSUS audio drama (released April 2020), and two new serial audio pieces which will be released in 2021. Tamara is a playwright for Curious Theatre Collective, and leads two Soapbox Audio Collective Writer’s Groups. (She’s working feverishly on several audio/virtual projects during social-distance-time when she isn’t mom-ing hard for her two young children.)
