Lucinda has performed in over 50 productions since graduating from Carnegie-Mellon University with a BFA in Drama (Acting Emphasis). She has trained extensively with Shakespeare & Company. First as an apprentice during the summer or 1979 and more recently in numerous workshops on Shakespeare's Rhetoric, Teaching Shakespeare, and the world renowned Month-long Intensive. Most of her work has been with Shakespeare which has given her a keen sense of the power of language to make a difference in the world. RED HOT PATRIOT is her second appearance in a one-woman show. She played Emily Dickinson in The Belle of Amherst in Minneapolis. Other work in Minnesota include performances in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Trojan Women, The Playboy of the Western World, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Our Town, Man and Superman, and The Winter's Tale. In New York, she appeared in Blithe Spirit and made her third appearance in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her work in North Carolina includes: Titus Andronicus, MacBeth, Measure for Measure, and The Tempest with Bare Theatre. She also appeared as Du in Keely & Du with Raleigh Ensemble Players and in numerous roles at Raleigh Little Theatre. She is performing this role at this time out of love for the legacy of strong, passionate journalist, Molly Ivins, and her belief that Molly's words are more pertinent today than they were when she wrote them.
